The Natural Environment

The area is ideal for relaxing, hiking, seeing native species, swimming and enjoying diving.

On the same street as the house there is a huge natural swimming pool with fine sand, adapted for swimming every day of the year regardless of the state of the sea. Perfect for children and the elderly.

On that same coast, when the sea is calm, you can swim in the open sea and enjoy diving, seeing all kinds of species, since the volcanic rock bottom is spectacular for enjoying marine biodiversity.

Walking

Within a 15-minute walk from the house, without having to take the car, there are several natural attractions worth seeing:

To the north, the walk between Los Cocoteros and El Charco del Palo along the coast is wonderful: you can see the Cueva del Agua and take a dip in a small cove. This walk takes approximately 1 hour, including the round trip, although you can continue walking for hours along a really beautiful coastline.

Heading south, towards Costa Teguise, you can also walk for hours. In just a few minutes you pass Las Salinas and the Embarcadero, another great place for diving. A little further on there is a Zepa area (special protection area for birds) where you can see the Houbara Bustard, endemic to the island and in danger of extinction, along with many other birds, both native to the islands and migratory.

Walking inland, you can visit the Tinamala quarries, or a small archaeological site at Peña de Mencía.
